Our graduate program pays you to study our Graduate Diploma in Meteorology.

Enter the Graduate Meteorologist Program as a full-time, ongoing employee with the Bureau.

You'll be paid while you study and complete the 10-month intensive training course.

After successful completion of the course you'll move directly into a role at one of our operational centres across Australia.

Graduate Meteorologist Program

Throughout the program you'll learn:

  • meteorological theory and forecast procedures
  • to use technology to view observation data and model guidance
  • how to use observation data to analyse the atmosphere
  • to communicate weather conditions to the Australian community, media and specialised users
  • to work as an effective team member in a service-oriented team.
